PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall surface greening unit preventing as much as possible surplus water from a planter from getting to be discharged as a conventional one, and consequently, preventing as much as possible surplus water from falling on a pedestrian on the ground, and to provide a wall surface greening facility using the wall surface greening unit. SOLUTION: This wall surface greening unit is such that a storage part for storing a planting base and plants, and an internal surplus water inducing part inducing surplus water unusable for the planting base and plants in a planter are each formed in the planter, and the storage part and the internal surplus water inducing part are divided in the planter by a division part having a surplus water drainage hole so as to discharge surplus water from the storage part to the internal surplus water inducing part. Furthermore, the unit includes an external surplus water inducing part for inducing surplus water induced by the internal surplus water inducing part to the planter of the wall surface greening unit on the lower stage.
