PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely suck stored water W in a water storage recessed part 20 of the water storage and water discharge base material A up into vegetation soil G, in a greening structure C on an artificial base D using the water storage and water discharge material A.SOLUTION: As the water storage and water discharge material A, an article in which first support columns 31, the upper surface thereof having a height equal to or greater than the height of the upper surface of a peripheral wall and second support columns 32, the upper surface thereof having a height lower than the height of the upper surface of the peripheral wall are raised in the water storage recessed portion 20 divided by the peripheral walls 10 (11, 12) functioning as water barriers is used. The vegetation soil G disposed on a water-absorbent sheet B enters the stored water W in the water storage recessed portion 20 in the vicinity of the second support columns 32, and the water W is sucked up into the vegetation soil G by capillary action. Since an air layer is formed between the stored water W and the water-absorbent sheet B near the peripheral walls 10, respiration action of hairy roots is not inhibited.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】貯水排水基盤材Aを用いた人工地盤D上の緑化構造体Cにおいて、貯水排水基盤材Aの貯水用凹部20内の貯水Wが植生用土壌Gに確実に吸い上げられるようにする。【解決手段】貯水排水基盤材Aとして、堰として機能する周壁10(11、12)で区画された貯水用凹部20内に、天面高さが周壁の天面高さと同じかそれよりも高くされた第1の支柱31と、天面高さが周壁の天面高さよりも低くされた第2の支柱32とを立設したものを用いる。吸水性シートBの上に配置した植生用土壌Gは、該第2の支柱32の近傍で貯水用凹部20内の貯水W中に入り込んだ状態となり、水Wは毛管現象により、植生用土壌Gに吸い上げられる。周壁10の近くでは、貯水Wと吸水性シートBとの間には空気層が形成されるので、毛根の呼吸作用が阻害されることもない。【選択図】図4
