PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a soft capsule film excellent in solubility, adhesion resistance and appearance, without mutual adhesion and adhesion to a storage vessel and capable of obtaining soft capsule formulations having good appearance by adding silk. SOLUTION: A soft capsule film is obtained by adding silk. This soft capsule film is preferably obtained by adding silk to a film base material such as gelatin. The silk is a type of amino acids having 90 average molecular weight and >=5 wt.%, preferably 2 wt.% of silk of the amino acid type is added to the gelatin. The silk is preferably a peptide type having 500 average molecular weight and a protein type having 1-5μm average size. The amino acid type adopted as the silk is obtained by thoroughly hydrolyzing silk fiber, the peptide type is obtained by hydrolyzing silk fiber to a certain degree and the protein type is obtained by mechanically pulverizing silk fiber.
