PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a low-foaming room temperature curing organopolysiloxane composition, which gives the composition that is suitably used for an automobile oil seal and is low foaming even when the composition is dispersed or dissolved into a continuously variable transmission oil and an automatic transmission oil, and to provide an automobile oil seal obtained by curing the composition produced by the method.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a room temperature curing organopolysiloxane composition including: reacting an organopolysiloxane having hydroxyl groups with at least one compound selected from a specific ketene silyl acetal compound, and a 2-methyl dialkoxy silyl propionic acid ester and a partial hydrolysate thereof in the presence of an organic compound having at least one guanidine skeleton in a molecule; and adding a ketoxime silane compound to the reaction liquid.
