PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic examination system by which an operator can recognize the operating state of a self-propelled device without turning his/her gaze from a monitor screen during examination of body cavity such as large intestines.SOLUTION: The endoscopic examination system 10 includes: a self-propelled endoscope 15 having a self-propelled device 12 attached thereto a power device 16 for imparting a driving force to the self-propelled device 12 a controller 17 connected to the power device 16 and controlling the direction and speed in which the self-propelled device 12 moves and a monitor 18 for displaying an observation image. The power device 16 transmits the information of movement such as moving forward and backward, stop, speed and load torque of the self-propelled device 12 to a processor 20.
