PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aerosol for mosquito control which uses an aerosol provided with a quantitative spray function and sustains a control effect against mosquito for 20 h or longer by spraying a specified amount in an indoor space and a mosquito control method using it.SOLUTION: An aerosol for mosquito control comprises (a) metofluthrin as an insect pest control component, (b) an aerosol stock solution containing an organic solvent and (c) a spraying agent, in which an aerosol stock solution/spraying agent vol. ratio is 10-50/50-90 (capacitance ratio) and is provided with an aerosol valve for quantitative spray. The 90% particle size in the volume integration distribution of sprayed particles of the aerosol is 10-80 μm, and an ejection amount of metofluthrin by a single spray operation is 5.0-12 mg per 4.5-8 jo(=about 1.6 m2). The aerosol for mosquito control makes a treated space controllable against mosquito for 20 h or longer.
