A multi-functional queen cage, comprising an upper cage portion (21) and a lower cage portion (31). The upper cage portion (21) is detachably disposed on the lower cage portion (31) to allow vertical movement of the upper cage portion, thereby forming a queen cage with an adjustable internal space. The multi-functional queen cage can be freely adjusted to adopt a locked mode, an access mode and a protection mode according to requirements. Upon introducing a queen bee, the multi-functional queen cage is set to the locked mode to solitarily confine the queen and prevent a worker bee from entering, wherein the area of the queen cage under the locked mode is only 1/4 of the area of a comb. After queen bee has been introduced, the queen cage is adjusted to the access mode, enabling the queen bee to lay eggs only within a specified range, effectively creating an egg-laying region and a honey-storage region and enhancing efficiency. The access mode allows the worker bee to freely enter and leave the queen cage to feed the queen bee and a larva. When attacked by a robber bee, the queen cage is adjusted to the protection mode to reduce the area of the queen cage and allow bees within the queen cage to effectively protect the queen bee or leave the queen cage through a one-way trapdoor on top of the queen cage. Under the protection mode, an enemy bee is unable to enter the queen cage.
