PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthodontic appliance with improved operability, and shortened treatment time, having a cap of simplified shape preventing the orthodontic wire from falling off, in which the orthodontic appliance including the cap is made thin and light while securing strength not to be damaged, and the insertion of the orthodontic wire becoming easy not only in the case performing lip side orthodontics but also even in the case of tongue side orthodontics.SOLUTION: The orthodontic appliance includes: an orthodontic bracket body 1 over which a wire insertion groove 10 with upward opening is formed transversely a cap body 2 of approximately U-shaped section constructed so as to freely fit with the orthodontic bracket body 1 from the rear end of orthodontic bracket body 1 to cover the wire insertion groove 10 and a fastening member 4 which tightly binds the orthodontic bracket body 1 and the cap body 2, in a manner that they do not interfere with the orthodontic wire 3 inserted into the wire insertion groove 10.COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT【課題】矯正用ワイヤの脱落を防止するキャップの形状を簡便化すると共に、破損しないよう強度を確保しつつキャップを含む歯列矯正用具を薄状化し、また唇側矯正を行う場合だけではなく、舌側矯正を行う場合であっても、矯正用ワイヤの挿入が容易となることで、治療時間を短縮でき、操作性の向上した歯列矯正用具を提供すること。【解決手段】上方開口のワイヤ挿通用溝10を横断状に形成した矯正用ブラケット本体1と、ワイヤ挿通用溝10を被うように該矯正用ブラケット本体1の後端より矯正用ブラケット本体1に嵌着自在に構成した断面略コ字状のキャップ本体2と、矯正用ブラケット本体1とキャップ本体2とを、ワイヤ挿通用溝10に挿通した矯正用ワイヤ3と干渉しない状態で緊縛する締結体4とより構成する。【選択図】図2
