A stacked piezoelectric element 100 which expands and contracts by means of voltage application, and which is provided with: external electrodes that are provided on the surfaces of an element main body; internal electrodes 104, 105 that are connected to the external electrodes; and piezoelectric layers 103 that are alternately laminated with the internal electrodes 104, 105. The electrode material used for the internal electrodes 104, 105 or the external electrodes 106, 107 has a matrix that is configured of Ag and Pd at a weight ratio of from 60/40 to 85/15, and contains from 0.1 wt% to 10 wt% of Pt relative to the matrix.
