The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for cleaning the body or for conditioning hair comprising one or more hydrophobically modified celluloses having a content of hydrophobic group (s) greater than 0.6% by weight, relative to the total weight of hydrophobically modified cellulose, one or more cationic surfactants and one or more branched fatty alcohols. It also relates to a method of conditioning the hair or washing / cleaning the body using such a composition and a cosmetic use of said composition for conditioning the hair or washing / cleaning the body.La présente invention concerne une composition cosmétique de nettoyage du corps ou de conditionnement des cheveux comprenant une ou plusieurs celluloses hydrophobiquement modifiées ayant une teneur en groupe(s) hydrophobe(s) supérieure à 0,6 % en poids, par rapport au poids total de la cellulose hydrophobiquement modifiée, un ou plusieurs agents tensioactifs cationiques et un ou plusieurs alcools gras ramifiés.
