PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing composition excellent in deodorizing ability to malodor of a nitrogen-containing compound such as ammonium, a sulfur-containing compound, etc., such as hydrogen sulfide and methylmercaptan and capable of suppressing erosion to iron-based materials.
SOLUTION: In the deodorizing composition comprising an antimicrobial agent having an active halogen atom and one or more kinds of compounds selected from organic acids, their salts and phosphoric acid derivatives and their salts, pH value of the deodorizing composition is &le6.7. The deodorizing composition comprises, preferably, 10-230 pts.wt. one or more kinds of compounds selected from organic acids, their salts and phosphoric acid derivatives and their salts based on 100 pts.wt. halogenated antimicrobial agent.
