Run-time modification of object orientated program code in automation system control programs by modification of stored assembly code with modified assembly code and adaptation of the modifications prior to machine code conversion
Method for modifying an object orientated program during its execution, in particular a program for controlling an automatic plant, whereby intermediate or assembly code is stored temporarily prior to conversion to machine code just before its execution. According to the method, intermediate code is supplied that incorporates any modifications. The modified code is compared with the stored intermediate code for an executing program and the modifications are incorporated in the program prior to execution of the machine code. - The invention also relates to a corresponding operating system for an automatic plant or automation system.
