PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tomography unit for suppressing the deterioration of image quality caused by a difference in sensitivity characteristics between two or more signal areas different from one another.
SOLUTION: A distribution difference parameter LtoH[i] for performing conversion from distribution of projection values affected by the sensitivity characteristic of a low-signal area into distribution of projection values affected by the sensitivity characteristic of a high-signal area is obtained on the basis of a high-signal area projection image High[i] in the high-signal area and a low-signal area projection image Low[i] in the low-signal area. Attenuation data Att[i][j] affected by the sensitivity characteristic in the low-signal area is converted into attenuation data Att[i][j] in the high-signal area through the use of the distribution difference parameter LtoH[i]. Consequently, even when the sensitivity characteristics are different between the high-signal area and the low-signal area with a detector specifying signal area as a boundary, the deterioration of the image quality caused by the difference in sensitivity characteristic between the high-signal area and the low-signal area is suppressed only by acquiring the high-signal area projection image High[i] and the low-signal area projection image Low[i].
