PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of evaluating intensity of pain on movement associated with bipedal walking of non-human primates, and a method of evaluating a substance under test on whether the substance under test is effective in relieving pain on movement and on a level of effectiveness using such a method.SOLUTION: A method of evaluating pain on movement associated with bipedal walking of non-human primates is for evaluating pain on movement experienced by a subject animal, which is a non-human primate, and involves steps of； letting the subject animal walk freely on hind limbs only with a walking aid attached thereto to maintain posture while walking on two hind limbs, and evaluating walking motion； and evaluating intensity of pain on movement experienced by the subject animal, based on an evaluation result the walking motion.SELECTED DRAWING: None
