PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide method and apparatus for manufacturing absorbers by which a deposition substance can be demolded from a recess in a rotary drum with high release properties, the deposition can be smoothly transferred to another conveyer, and absorbers partly different in thickness, height, basis weight or the like can be easily manufactured.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the absorbers includes a process in which the deposition substance is formed by depositing materials in the recess 30 positioned between several recess demarcating members 35 and 36 arranged in the outer periphery 3A of the rotary drum 3 along its circumferential direction and the deposition substance is transferred to the other conveyer. The recess demarcating members 35 and 36 are arranged so that they can move in the width direction Y of the rotary drum 3.
