PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can fit to a body of a wearer and absorb excrement in a wider range.SOLUTION: An absorbent article (1) comprises: an absorber (10) a skin side sheet (20) and a compression part (EL) having a prescribed length in a width direction. The absorber (10) comprises a recess (15) along a longitudinal direction on a center area in a width direction of a non-skin side surface, and a fiber density of a skin side part (H) adjacent to the recess (15) from a skin side in the thickness direction is higher than a fiber density of an outside part (L) adjacent to the recess (15) from outside in the width direction. A center (Hc) in the thickness direction of the absorber (10) in a position overlapped to a deepest part (15m) in the width direction is closer to a skin side than a center (Lc) in the thickness direction of the absorber (10) on the outside part (L).
