PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper diaper excellent in fitness and absorption by preventing hanging down of a central part in the width direction on the abdominal side of an absorber.SOLUTION: A crotch part-fitting elastic expansion/contraction member 68 is provided between a wrapping sheet 58 and a liquid impermeable back sheet 11 and between the liquid impermeable back sheet 11 and an outer shape sheet 12 at a symmetrical position where the crotch part-fitting elastic expansion/contraction member 68 occupies 15 to 40% with respect to the width of the absorber 56 from a side edge in the width direction of the absorber 56.
