The invention describes production of an antibiotic from a media containing crude glycerol using Achromobacter "sp. Biodiesel production from vegetable oils and animal fats yields a surplus product glycerol which comprises certain impurities. The redundant impurities make the surplus product that is glycerol crude or impure in nature, which is the sole reason to consider it as waste product. A biological fermentation process is developed to produce antibiotic phenazine-1-carboxamide.
