PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engaging implement for fishing for engaging a string-shaped body of a Hikifune (a boat-shaped container for storing living sweet fish or the like in water) for sweet fish fishing, hardly being a hindrance to an angler even if being attached to the waist without becoming bulky, and enabling a space for storage and transportation to be saved.SOLUTION: The engaging implement 5 for the fishing includes an engaging implement body 10, a seizing tool 110 and an attaching tool 130. The engaging implement body 10 has a body-constituting part 20, a turnable engaging part 40, and an inside constituting part 60 installed in a front-side constituting part 21 of the body-constituting part 20. The turnable engaging part 40 for engaging the string-shaped body is freely turnably attached to a protruded part 30, and can be turned between a stood state and a state protruded to the front side.
