PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathtub allowing the elderly, the physically disabled, and the like to easily get therein/out thereof.SOLUTION: A bathtub 1 includes a notch part 6 at a side wall 3, and the notch part 6 is tightly sealed by an opening/closing unit U. The opening/closing unit U comprises a plate-like member 7 and a stationary member 11 in which the plate-like member 7 is fitted. The plate-like member 7 includes clamping plates 14a and 14b, and clamping plates 15a and 15b attached to both ends and both surfaces thereof. The bathtub causes the clamping plates 14a and 14b and the clamping plates 15a and 15b to clamp and fix the plate-like member in the side wall 3 located at a periphery of the notch part 6 so as to tightly seal the notch part 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
