PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food material mixer in which the vinegared rice in a mixing drum can be cooled easily.SOLUTION: The food material mixer includes: the mixing drum which is supported freely rotatably by a mechanical frame and in which a food material is housed and agitating members 201, 202 which are arranged in the mixing drum and used for agitating the food material so that a plurality of food materials are mixed with one another by rotating the mixing drum. Each of the agitating members includes a plurality of agitating bars 203, 211, 214 each of which traverses the internal space of the mixing drum right and left and is rotated together with the mixing drum. An introduction part for introducing cooling air into the internal space is arranged on one side of the mixing drum. The food material mixer further includes a wind direction setting member for guiding the cooling air, which is introduced through the introduction part, toward the food material lifted by the plurality of agitating bars in association with rotation of the mixing drum and guiding the cooling air toward the food material dropped through the space between the adjacent agitating bars in association with rotation of the mixing drum.
