Methods and compositions are provided for modulating c-jun expression using inhibitors of PKC-alpha. In preferred embodiments, the specific inhibitors are antisense oligonucleotides hybridizable to PKC-alpha. In preferred embodiments, the oligonucleotides contain one or more chemical modifications.
