PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time for thawing.SOLUTION: An apparatus for pressure-reduced thawing includes: an openable/closable pressure-reduced container 3 for housing frozen food a pressure-reducing part 5 for reducing the pressure in the pressure-reduced container 3 and a heating part 7 for keeping a hot liquid in the pressure-reduced container 3 at a predetermined temperature, and thaws a frozen food material by reducing the pressure in the sealed container 3 while immersing the frozen food material in the sealed container 3 to the hot liquid, and boiling the hot liquid.
