Device for protecting the proximal part of a catheter, in particular a dialysis catheter, this device comprising a substantially planar first portion (1) provided with a passage hole for the catheter facing its emergence site, a second flexible tubular portion (30) forming a pocket for containing the proximal portion of the catheter, said second portion (30) comprising an upper transverse mouth (32), characterized in that the second portion (30) comprises a lower transverse mouth and means reversible closure of this lower transverse mouth, the first part (1) comprising, on one of its so-called front faces, an adhesive zone for fixing it to the skin of a patient, the first part (1) being provided, on its opposite opposite side, an adhesive zone for fixing the second part (30) to the first part (1).
