The present disclosure is related to the modification of the external and internal surface geometry of the tip of peripheral intravenous and central peripheral catheters through two main elements: (1) a catheter tip with hydrodynamic channels that vary in number from 4 to 10, depending on the outer diameter of the same catheter. (2) A convergent-divergent nozzle where the throat of the same is placed between 10 to 90 percent of the length between the exit and entry points. These elements reduce the shearing effect between the catheter and the blood flow, allowing the union of blood flows with the medicine flow that passes through the interior of the catheter avoiding the flow induced vibrations due to the turbulence that is formed when there are two fluid flows.Esta invención se refiere a la modificación de la geometría superficial externa e interna la punta de catéteres intravenosos periféricos y centrales periféricos a través de dos elementos principales: (1) Una punta de catéter con canales hidrodinámicos que varían en número de 4 a 10, en función el diámetro exterior del mismo catéter. (2)Una tobera convergente divergente donde la garganta de la misma se coloca entre el 10 al 90 por ciento de la longitud entre la punta de salida y entrada. Estos elementos reducen el efecto de cizallamiento entre el catéter y el flujo sanguíneo, y además permite la unión de los flujos de sangre con el flujo de medicina que pasa por el interior del catéter que evita las vibraciones inducidas por flujo a causa de la turbulencia que se forma cuando se encuentran dos flujos de fluido.
