SOLUTION: RecA gene is defected to inhibit the transfer of a transfer factor to comP gene to obtain the Bacillus natto having the low appearance frequency of &gamma - PGA-non-producing strain and even when the subculture is repeated. And fermented soybeans are produced with the Bacillus natto.
