A method for growing Rhodiola sachalinensis A. Bor is provided to enlarge the size and thickness of Rhodiola sachalinensis A. Bor by growing the Rhodiola sachalinensis A. Bor in a low-lying region for a fixed period, transplanting it as it is or dividing its root and cutting its sprouts, and allowing it to grow over four years. A method for growing Rhodiola sachalinensis A. Bor comprises the steps of: disinfecting soil by an insecticide or disinfectant three months before sowing, forming a field at intervals of 60cm, making furrows, and sprinkling sieved soil of 10cm in thickness on the field; soaking the seeds of Rhodiola sachalinensis A. Bor stored in a freezer in flowing water for 10hr; adjusting the concentration of gibberellin(GA3) to 400ppm, soaking seeds which have settled in the gibberellin at around 20°C for 24hr, and washing them in flowing water for 24hr; mixing humus soil, fine soil, fine sand, and the seeds in a ratio of 50:50:50:1; watering a field just before the land get frozen in late autumn
