PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine for separating roots of rash (Juncus effusus) capable of cutting parent roots of rush crosswise when they pass through the upper surface of two flat plates and quite easily dividing roots of rush to form small roots by installing two specific flat plates on the upper surface of a frame capable of being freely set on the ground surface. SOLUTION: A flat plate A and a flat plate B formed by installing saw holes 2a, 2b through which circular saws are capable of protruding in front and root acceptors 3a, 3b on which rush roots are freely laid in the rear are arranged to mutually perpendicularly cross so that the front end of the flat plate A contacts to the side face of the root acceptor 3b of the flat plate B on the upper surface of a frame capable of being freely laid on the ground surface. In this case, the circular saws capable of protruding against the saw holes 2a, 2b of the flat plate A and the flat plate B are preferably installed under the frame to be movable upward and downward. Further, devices 5a, 5b for pushing the roots capable of pushing roots of rush mounted on the root acceptors 3a, 3b are preferably installed on the upper surfaces of the flat plates A, and B to be movable forward and backward.
