PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of suppressing discomfort during wearing and suppressing leakage of excrement.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 has a folding line FL1 which is used for folding an absorbent article so that, a skin facing surface of the absorbent article faces. An absorber comprises a low basis weight part 41 provided on a boundary between a center area and a rear side area, and extends in a width direction. The absorbent article comprises a first joint part 61 provided on a front side relative to the low basis weight part, and a second joint part 62 provided on a rear side relative to the low basis weight part. An elastic member 91 steps over the low basis weight part or an area extending from the low basis weight part to outside of the width direction.
