PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper improved in usability because an outer peripheral edge part of a stretchable waist panel is easy to face to a skin-facing surface side in wearing the diaper.SOLUTION: In a disposable diaper 1A, a fastening tape 4 is attached to an outer side part 3S of a stretchable side panel 3 extending from a side part 2S of a back side part B of an absorptive body 2. The fastening tape 4 is attached only to a non-skin-facing surface of the stretchable side panel 3. The fastening tape 4 is joined with the stretchable side panel 3 with a space S from an outer side edge 3S1 of the stretchable side panel 3 via a joint region 6.
