PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper capable of reducing disposable diaper change time and reducing change time of a pad to be fitted onto the inner surface of the disposable diaper to reduce diaper changing work.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper is provided with fastening tapes each extending in the width direction in the back side part of an exterior sheet, the fastening tape including upper fastening tape positioned on the upper side and lower fastening tape positioned on the lower side, the upper fastening tape including an upper main body extending in the width direction and an upper engagement part on the inner surface of the distal end of the upper main body, and the lower fastening tape including a lower main body extending in the width direction and a lower engagement part on the inner surface of the distal end of the lower main body. When wearing the disposable diaper, the upper fastening tape is engaged with the abdominal side part of the exterior sheet in the downward inclined posture, and the lower fastening tape is engaged with the abdominal side part of the exterior sheet in the upward inclined posture.
