METHOD OF EVALUATING TREE BODY PRODUCTION POWER, IMAGING DEVICE FOR EVALUATING TREE BODY PRODUCTION POWER AND PROGRAM FOR EVALUATING TREE BODY PRODUCTION POWER
[PROBLEMS] To be able to evaluate a tree body production power for isolated tree bodies or tree bodies disposed at intervals without requiring many hours by a non-destructive method by using a tree crown structure measuring device or an imaging device provided with a fisheye lens. [MEANS OF SOLVING PROBLEMS] A rotation semi-ellipsoid model as representing the outer shape of a tree body is determined, the intensity of light passed through tree leaves as measured by an optical tree body structure measuring device disposed a specified distance away from a trunk and the intensity of light not passed through tree leaves are measured to calculate a light path length along which light incident to the tree body passes by means of the semi-ellipsoid model, and a total area of tree body leaves are determined from the measured intensities of light and the light path length. In place of the optical tree body structure measuring, an imaging device provided with a fisheye lens may be disposed to be able to determine a total area of tree body leaves also by performing arithmetic processing on image data obtained by imaging.
