The present invention presents a chimeric clotting factor containing an activatable clotting factor and an enhancing moiety. With the activatable clotting factor, the chimeric clotting factor is activated at the site of clotting. The enhancing portion may further improve the procoagulant activity of the chimeric clotting factor. The chimeric clotting factor may be further improved by fusion to a half-life extender that improves the pharmacokinetic properties of the chimeric clotting factor.
