PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preventive against metabolic syndrome, capable of controlling the number of fat cells, and preventing a fat tissue from being enlarged by using an extract of raw beans of coffee which is a natural product ingested daily.
SOLUTION: The preventive against the metabolic syndrome contains the extract of the coffee raw beans. The concerning component in the extract is at least one component selected from the group consisting of 3-CQA, 4-CQA, 5-CQA, 3,4-diCQA, 3,5-diCQA, 4,5-diCQA, 3-FQA, 4-FQA and 5-FQA, and the extract of the coffee raw beans is the one obtained through a supercritical fluid-treating step, and free from caffeine.
