PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable absorbent article which has an excellent wearing feeling when a user wears and is easily manufactured.
SOLUTION: A flap part 12 which makes close contact with a skin of a wearer to prevent leakage of, for example, excretory substances or the like is provided along the longitudinal direction of the main body 2 of the absorbent article on both side parts of a width direction of the main body 2. The flap part 12 is formed of different sheet materials and includes a rising base part 13 and an extending part 15 which has an elastic flap 14 along the longitudinal direction and extends. The rising base part 13 is made of the sheet material harder than the extending part 15 to rise easily. The extending part 15 brought into contact with the skin of the wearer is made of the sheet material which is more flexible than the base part 13. The wearing feeling of the disposable absorbent article 1 is improved by forming the base part 13 and the extending part 15 of different sheet materials. Moreover, the absorbent article is easily manufactured since the flap part 12 is formed only by joining the base part 13 and the extending part 15.
