PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parameter fitting method capable of shortening calculation time. SOLUTION: A parameter fitting method in the present invention executes parameter fitting by using genetic algorithm to calculate an evaluation function value that shows an error between a measured value or a target value and a calculated value, and by minimizing the evaluation function. The method includes a step for setting a border value to the evaluation function value that is obtained when substituting a predetermined condition into the evaluation function, and discontinuing process when the evaluation function value exceeds the border value.
