PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a wide space between an absorbent body of an absorbent article and a user.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes: the sheet-like absorbent body 2 lower sheets 301 disposed under the absorbent body 2 and upper sheets 302 continued from the lower sheets 301 and disposed above both sides of the absorbent body 2. When the user wears the absorbent article 1, a pair of lower sheets 301 are unfolded in the middle of the absorbent article 1 in the longitudinal direction, so that a pair of erected parts (the lower sheet 301 and the upper sheet 302) are erected high to form a wide space 200 between the absorbent body 2 and the user. As a result, the moisture of excrement can be efficiently absorbed by utilizing the wide area of an absorbent core 22, and leakage of excrement to the outside of the absorbent article 1 can be prevented.
