PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arm support device that supports the arm of a worker, in which a joint for turning a placement part for placing the arm around a shaft containing a vertical component is disposed in a proper position to improve operability.SOLUTION: As illustrated in (A), if an interval between a shaft J serving as a center of rotation around a vertical shaft of an arm holder (placement part) and an elbow E supported by the arm holder is less than 50 mm, a swing width of a finger-tip at the time when the arm holder is turned around the shaft J becomes large, and thereby work performance is lowered in the delicate work such as surgery. In contrast, as shown in (B), if the shaft J is in the wrist W side of 50 mm or more from the elbow E supported by the arm holder and passes the position of the elbow E side with respect to the wrist W of a fore-arm A, it becomes easy to control the movement of the finger-tip.
