This is referred to as a diluent for the Protection, Conservation and cryopreservation of semen. The diluent comprises at least a cytoprotective Compound derived from isopropilfenol along with cryoprotective agents and adjuvants to increase the Mobility of the sperm Vitality and functionality.The presence of isopropilfenoles in semen diluent reduces oxidative stress by inhibiting the production of Reactive Oxygen Species and Lipid peroxidation. The diluent is very effective for the Protection of sperm when they are subjected to highly stressful conditions such as cryopreservation.La presente se refiere a un diluyente para la protección, conservación y criopreservación de semen. El diluyente comprende al menos un compuesto citoprotector derivado del isopropilfenol junto con agentes crioprotectores y coadyuvantes que permiten incrementar la movilidad, vitalidad y funcionalidad de los espermatozoides. La presencia de isopropilfenoles en el diluyente reduce el estrés oxidativo del semen al inhibir la producción de especies reactivas de oxígeno y la peroxidación lipídica. El diluyente es muy efectivo para la protección de los espermatozoides cuando éstos son sometidos a condiciones altamente estresantes como la criopreservación.
