A method of producing an inhalable vapour. The method involves placing an amount of a substance in a low-melting point solid phase on at least one heating element suspended to allow for free-flow of air around and through the at least one heating element. The substance contains active ingredients for producing a physiological effect in a human. The method further involves causing the at least one heating element to melt at least a portion of the substance in the solid phase into a liquid phase, absorbing at least some of the substance in the liquid phase in an absorbent material contained substantially entirely within the at least one heating element to hold at least a portion of the at least some of the substance in the liquid phase at a temperature that vapourizes the substance in the liquid phase into a vapour phase, and causing at least some of the substance in the vapour phase to be carried by air drawn through the absorbent material to enter a respiratory system of the human.L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'une vapeur inhalable.
