The invention relates to a glossy pigment used for cosmetic compositions, dyes and resins. According to the invention, the pigment comprises a fluky particle having up to 4% by weight alkaline metal selected from the group formed of Na, K and Li, expressed as metal oxide, a layer of metal oxide which covers the fluky particle and which contains, as a main component, a metal oxide, selected from titanium dioxide and reduced titanium oxide, or iron oxide and reduced iron oxide, where the metal oxide layer does not contain alkali metal.Invenţia se referă la un pigment strălucitor, utilizat în compoziţii de cosmetice, vopseluri şi răşini. Pigmentul conform invenţiei cuprinde o particulă floconoasă având până la 4% în greutate metal alcalin ales din grupul format din Na, K şi Li, exprimat ca oxid de metal, un strat de oxid de metal care acoperă particula floconoasă, şi care conţine un oxid de metal drept componentă principală,ales dintre dioxid de titan şi oxid de titan redus, sau oxid de fier şi oxid de fier redus, în care stratul de oxid de metal nu conţine un metal alcalin.
