PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbing member closely brought into contact with the users body and easy to manufacture, and an absorbent article.
SOLUTION: The absorbing member has a liquid absorbent core and the sheet for containing the liquid absorbent core and the sheet has the skin contact surface positioned on the contact side with the body and the skin non-contact surface positioned on the non-contact side with the body and has a width direction and the longitudinal direction crossing the width direction. This absorbing member has a joint part for joining a part of the skin non-contact part of the sheet and another part of the skin non-contact part of the sheet so that both parts of the sheet are opposed to each other along the longitudinal direction at the central part in the width direction.
