PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article, even when repetitively receiving urine and the like from a wearer, capable of retaining a high absorption performance by securing diffusivity of the urine and the like.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 has a width direction x and a longitudinal direction y, and includes a top sheet 2, a back sheet 3, and an absorbent core 4 provided therebetween. The absorbent core 4 includes an opening (or a recessed part ) 5 extending in the longitudinal direction, formed at a central part in the width direction X.
