PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an isolation method of olfactory sphere cells which are free from safety problems and are industrially practicable and easy, and a production method of isolated olfactory sphere cells.SOLUTION: A method of producing and isolating olfactory sphere cells comprises (1) the step of enzymatically treating olfactory mucosa cells or tissues collected from the nasal cavity of humans or other mammals, and (2) the step of culturing the enzymatically treated material obtained in the step (1) in a serum-free condition to obtain olfactory sphere cells, and the enzymes in the step (1) being a mixture of enzymes comprising collagenase, dispase, deoxyribonuclease I and hyaluronidase.【課題】安全性に問題がなく、工業的に実用可能で簡便なオルファクトリースフィア細胞の単離方法及び単離されたオルファクトリースフィア細胞の製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】(1)ヒト又はヒト以外の哺乳動物の鼻腔から採取された嗅粘膜細胞又は組織を酵素処理する工程、及び(2)前記工程(1)で得られた酵素処理物を無血清下に培養し、オルファクトリースフィア細胞を得る工程を含み、前記工程(1)における酵素が、コラゲナーゼ、ディスパーゼ、デオキシリボヌクレアーゼI及びヒアルロニダーゼを含む酵素混合物であることを特徴とする、オルファクトリースフィア細胞の生成・単離方法。【選択図】なし
