PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antitumor agent having as active ingredients a stilbene derivative and a platinum coordination compound.SOLUTION: The antitumor agent exhibits synergistic improved antitumor activity by employing these two types of active ingredients in combination, so that it may be expected to be used as an antitumor agent excellent in safety. In particular, when the stilbene derivative exhibiting antitumor activity is used in combination with the platinum coordination compound, the antitumor activity inherent to the stilbene derivative is further enhanced to give an antitumor agent having an improved efficaciousness which is particularly adequate for treating malignant tumors.
