PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powdered soup providing cooked feeling by imparting superheated steam.SOLUTION: The method for producing the powdered soup includes mixing several kinds of soup raw materials, and imparting the superheated steam to the resultant mixture. As a result, the powdered soup having the cooked feeling can be provided. Further, by the method, the powdered soup having the cooked feeling can be produced only by mixing the soup raw materials in a state of the low water content (e.g. a powder state), and imparting the superheated steam. Preferably, when imparting the superheated stream, it is carried out within the range in which the water content after impartment of the superheated steam is not lowered than the water content before the impartment of the superheated steam.
