A method of manufacturing an individualized dental preform, comprising the steps of: providing individual color information about a tooth associated with one or more teeth of a patient； forming an open open-cell material of a dental preform from particles by an automated extension method； with individual color information about the tooth, while the particles are given different colors in accordance individual color information of the tooth； provide individual information about the shape of the dental prosthesis associated with the patient； give the starting material a dental workpiece shape without depending on the shape of the dental prosthesis； squeeze the source material of the dental blank to obtain a dental blank. 2. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the particles contain ceramic material or, in essence, consist of ceramic material. The method according to claim 2, characterized in that the ceramic material contains zirconia or, in essence, consists of zirconia. A method according to any one of the preceding claims, further comprising stages in which layers of particles are sequentially formed, at least one color being applied to the selected layers until the formation of the next layer. The method according to claim 4, characterized in that a plurality of colors are applied to the selected layers until the formation of the next layer.
