PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cotton-like structure having such a shape as can easily closely adhere to the outer surface of an end-side anastomostic region, applicable to a micro blood anastomosis performed under microscopic operation, and having a function of gradually releasing an included medicament in the process of degradation and absorption of biodegradable polymers, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.
SOLUTION: The cotton-like structure for the circulatory organ is made of biodegradable polymers. The average fiber diameter is in the range from 100 nm to 10,000 nm, and the average apparent density is in the range from 10 to 95 kg/m
3 . The cotton-like structure for the circulatory organ includes the medicament in the fiber.
