PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ozone generating apparatus which can suppress the amount of ions with ensuring the amount of ozone.SOLUTION: The ozone generating apparatus generates ozone by applying a predetermined voltage between a discharge electrode and a counter electrode to generate corona discharge, wherein the discharge electrode is a needle electrode, the counter electrode is a ring shaped electrode with taking the axial center of the needle electrode as a center, and the distance from the tip of the discharge electrode to an arbitrary point of the counter electrode is 5.5-6.5 mm.
