A medical device includes an actuator, an extension portion, and a tissue interaction portion. The extension portion is coupled to the actuator and includes at least first and second fitting / contracting sections. Each fitting / contracting section includes (i) a head portion and a neck portion. (Ii) at least one body section that is coupled and integral with said at least one extension hook section. The at least one extension hook section of the first mating telescopic section is operatively coupled to the body section of the second mating telescopic section. The tissue interaction portion is operatively coupled to the extension portion and includes at least one of a gripping mechanism, a staple binding mechanism, and a cutting mechanism. The actuator is adapted to control at least one of the extension portion and the tissue interaction portion.
